A Recap of PG Armenia x Percona University: A Day of Open Source & Database Innovation in Yerevan!

 

What a day! We recently brought PG Armenia x Percona University to Yerevan for a vibrant gathering of database experts, open source enthusiasts, and curious minds from all over. The goal was simple: to create a space to connect, learn, and celebrate the power of open source databases. The energy was incredible, and the day was packed with inspiring talks, hands-on insights, and fantastic conversations.

Peter Zaitsev (Founder at Percona) kicked things off with the State of Open Source Databases and later dove into What Developers Should Know About Observability.

Emma Saroyan (Founder, PostgreSQL Armenia Community) captivated the audience with her talk on Harnessing the power of AI with Postgres.

Andrey Borodin (Yandex Cloud) guided newcomers with his session, First Steps in Code Contribution.

We also had fantastic sessions from experts at Percona, Altinity, Releem, Ameriabank CJSC, and AWS, covering everything from MySQL tuning and MongoDB encryption to ClickHouse bottlenecks and deploying PostgreSQL on AWS.
